2 YEAR REEL WARRANTY

Reels manufactured by Occ-Safety are warranted for a period of two years from the date of sale to original purchaser.

Guarantee

This warranty is provided in addition to other rights and remedies you have under law: Our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Subject to the conditions set out below, The AK Automatic Rewinding Reel (“the Product”) is guaranteed by Occsafety Pty Ltd. (“the Company”) to be free from faulty materials or bad workmanship (“the Guarantee”).

Guarantee Conditions

Notification of a claim under the Guarantee must be made during the period of twenty four (24) months from the date of original purchase of the Product.
Proof of the purchase date and point of purchase must be furnished at the time of notification of any claim under the Guarantee.
Only the person who purchased the Product from a retailer may make a claim under the Guarantee.
The Guarantee shall only apply if the Product has been used in accordance with the operating instructions (enclosed in carton with hose reel) it shall not apply if abused, neglected, damaged in transit, incorrectly installed or operated, tampered with or altered, modified or had any parts substituted by an unauthorized person, or has been used for a purpose for which it has not been designed or suited.
Hoses – the Guarantee applies to hoses to the extent that they are used in accordance with their stated purpose/use, ie., Air Hose – Air, Oil Hose – Oil, etc. the user must check the suitability of the hose for any chemicals or other substances that may be present in the water, air or oil to be passed through the hose, or substances used to clean the outer surface of the hose, or products on the floor with which the hose may come into contact, also that their operating pressure and temperature limits are not exceeded.
The Guarantee shall not apply because of a defect due to some act or default or other cause occurring after the goods have left the control of the Company.
The purchaser shall be responsible for all freight costs incurred in the event that the Product is forwarded, collected or returned for, and following, repair at the Company’s workshop. Occsafety Pty. Ltd will cover the reasonable costs incurred if the Product is found to be faulty and the reel repaired or replaced.
The Product will only be repaired if a full description of the nature of the defect is included when the Product is returned to the Manufacturer. Occsafety Pty Ltd representative or agent must inspect the hose reel before Warranty approval.

Claims

Reels manufactured by Occ-Safety are warranted for a period of two years from the date of sale to original purchaser. If within such warranty period any such equipment is proved, to Occ-Safety’s satisfaction, to be defective, Occ-Safety shall be liable for the repair or, at Occ-Safety’s option, replacement when the product is returned, freight prepaid, to Occ-Safety’s factory or an Occ-Safety service agent. Our obligation hereunder shall be confined to such repair or replacement. Occ-Safety assumes no responsibility for improper choice of models or where products are used in excess of rated capacities and design functions, or under abnormal conditions.

No Reels will be accepted for return without authorization by the factory, and a return authorization number assigned. Reels must be returned prepaid.

Call (Telephone: 03 9460 4455) and request a returned authorization number (RA #). Be prepared to give the following information: product model number, supplier, purchase invoice number and date of purchase. Once given an RA #, you must write it on all boxes and paperwork. Occ-Safety will not accept your return without an RA #. Upon receiving the return, we will determine if it is to be covered under warranty.

Warranty is void if the product or any part thereof has been tampered with, altered, or repaired by other than an authorized service agent.

Occ-Safety’s responsibility ceases upon delivery to any common carrier, and we do not insure shipments beyond point of delivery to such carrier unless instructed. Any parts, components or accessories that are not manufactured by Occ-Safety and supplied by other manufacturers are subject to their respective warranties. Certain products will carry their own warranties.

We reserve the right to modify or alter materials, dimensions, design or construction, when necessary, to improve performance.

HOSE APPLICATIONS

Occ-Safety does not manufacture any hose. All hose supplied by Occ-Safety is selected from reliable commercial Australian sources and is recommended for application on the basis of data provided by the manufacturer. Occ-Safety assumes no responsibility for any other application or use. Hose supplied by Occ-Safety carries the warranty as supplied by the manufacturer (90 days).
